KABUL: Afghanistan International Bank has begun ATM services for holders of a variety of international credit cards.
The ATMs accept cards including MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB and affiliated cards.
AIB has placed one ATM at its head office in Wazir Akbar Khan, Kabul, and two in the US Airbase in Bagram serving some 15,000 army personnel.
The bank said another 22 ATMs are on order and will be installed in strategic places in Kabul and in AIB’s branches.
The move is in line with AIB’s strategy to become a modern 21st century commercial bank, reflecting international standards and practices. |

ازدواج مجدد امينم با همسر سابقش
امينم، خواننده موسيقی رپ و کيمبرلی مترز، همسر سابقش چهار سال پس از طلاق و جدال حقوقی بر سر سرپرستی دخترشان، دوباره با يکديگر ازدواج کرده اند.
امينم که نام واقعی او مارشال مترز سوم است در سال 1999 با عشق دوران دبيرستان خود ازدواج کرد اما بعدتر در اثر موفق خود، "کيم" که سال 2000 عرضه شد، با توصيفهای واضح و روشنی درباره مرگ او خيالبافی کرد.
ميهمانان مجلس عروسی که در شهر زادگاه اين زوج، ديترويت برگزار شد شامل گروه هيپ هاپ "جی يونيت"، گروهی که فيفتی سنت خواننده رپ در آن عضويت دارد می شد.
امينم موفقترين آثارش را ماه گذشته در آلبومی به نام Curtain Call منتشر کرد که به معنای حضور بازيگران نمايش، پس از پايان اجرا و پيش از کشيدن پرده ها به روی صحنه، برای استقبال از تشويق حضار است. |

Miss Kohistani was discovered travelling on the Tube

A teenager who fled the Taleban regime has made history by being the first Muslim to represent England in the Miss World beauty contest in China.
Hammasa Kohistani, 18, had been third favourite but Misses Iceland, Mexico and Puerto Rico were voted top three.
Islamic extremists had sent her death threats for taking part in the competition, watched by two billion.
Miss Kohistani, who was born in Uzbekistan, fled Afghanistan with her parents in 1996.
She went to the UK via Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Dubai.

The Afghan National Army met another milestone recently when 19 Soldiers graduated from the medium tactical vehicle familiarization course held at the German maintenance facility.
Afghani Soldiers who completed the weeklong training will train fellow Soldiers in their respective kandaks, or units.
"We have learned all the systems of the new vehicles. We will teach the Soldiers in our kandaks driving rules and how to maintain the vehicles," said Pvt. Hassan, 26th Kandak, 201st Corps Headquarters, a graduate of the course.
